Sumy Region is a unique land full of inexhaustible investment opportunities. Every year potential investors discover these opportunities due to the leading economic event of the year – International Economic Forum " Investments. Partnership. Development." The Forum held in the Region since 2005 is aimed at drawing attention of Ukrainian and foreign business groups, foreign missions, embassies, scientists and statesmen to economic and investment potential of Sumy Region.

All potential investors are shown investment projects of the Region and investment objects that could be visited at once within the framework of Forum. The leaders of every town and district of Sumy Region represent their administrative territories. Such presentations are performed in order to start business contacts in the sphere of international cooperation, further raising the image of the country and Sumy Region at world arena. As a rule, negotiations and meetings of Forum participants result in signing agreements on further cooperation.

Significance and success of International Economic Forum "Investments. Partnership. Development" is proved by the volumes of attracting direct foreign investments. Thus 83.7 million USD of direct foreign investments have been attracted to regional economy starting from 2005, the point of conducting the first Forum. The evidence of favorable investment climate on the territory of Sumy Region is lasting and successful work of a number of foreign companies and funds that started to work in Sumy Region, i.e. Horizon Capital , Kraft Foods International INC, Raiffeisen Investment, Vaishali Group, Bell Group .
